A carefully crafted tale with serious professional philosophy and psychology lavished on character and novum construction...

I am immensely proud of, and happy with, the way that The Chronicles of Xeo Woolfe: The Portal of the Overhackers turned out.

There are three things which make me most pleased with it:

1. Character construction. I promise that you will love the characters. I lovingly and carefully craft them and their psychologies using all of the philosophical and psychological acumen that I have. They're designed from the ground-up to entertain you with every aspect and fibre of their fictional beings. I promise that you want to meet Vestral, Josephine Flowars, and Exocetia Trandrews (see the spoiler images.)

2. The thing that makes me really pleased, however, is that the character construction, plot, novums, and character invention get better and better as the book progresses. It took me a long time to be happy with the first four chapters because most of them were originally written in 2004-2006 when I was still a software engineer by trade and had only done one semester of humanities at what was then The University of Western Sydney. However, extensive rewrites in 2017-2024 and additional material made those chapters very satisfying. They still contain at least two original novum plot devices that were copied in the late naughties by movies. (See if you can pick who picked up the novum of the Astralackian Annihilator.)

3. I really found my stride with the dialogue and humour, and with the right voice to carry it, from about chapter 5-6. The pace of the plot progression and the dialog really please me. If you are looking for a read that will make you laugh and stimulate your dialectic and discursive intellect, then Overhackers is a read into which a PhD in philosophy with a Master of Philosophy in English and an advanced graduate diploma of psychology really put the effort to make sure you get maximum literary bang for your buck and your time. I am not tooting my academic horn here. It's just that if you want something that was crafted with all of that epistemic grift behind it, and you'd like to make some movies or television that are quite a bit different, The Portal of the Overhackers should float your boat and fly your spaceship.
